Ingrid Muller
A former journalist, Ironman athlete and cyclist, Ingrid turned to yoga to heal a battered mind and body. Years of injuries and surgeries had left her unable to walk without pain; her career had left her a little cynical and closed off from the world. Then she found yoga. Heated classes brought back her mobility, and breathwork and meditation began to heal her heart and mind. In 2021, she took the leap and completed her 200-hour certification, and she quickly added on certifications in Hot Yoga and Yin. After teaching for two years, Ingrid started offering free Hot Yoga classes to people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and received her certification in Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) in 2024. As a person in recovery herself, Ingrid found that yoga is an especially powerful practice for the sober community -- a way to release shame, trauma, and negative self judgments through movement, breath and the community of fellow travelers. It's a beautiful thing to see! With that experience, Ingrid loves to create a warm, welcoming space in all of her classes, a place where students can release, heal and grow. Off the mat, Ingrid loves traveling, hiking, cycling (still!) and hanging out with her husband, three dogs and cat.
