Your experience is everything
Our studio was intentionally designed with the latest in yoga studio technology and environmental systems — including medical grade air filtration, and antimicrobial flooring — so you can simply focus and enjoy the yoga experience you’ve been searching for.
At Yoga Pod, we believe yoga is more than a workout—it’s a pathway to connection, mindfulness, and lasting well-being.
Our three locally owned studios in Boulder County are sanctuaries where movement meets meaning, where breath guides transformation, and where every student is welcomed as family.
Our mission is simple yet powerful:
To serve our community by fostering connection, creating space for mindfulness, and strengthening overall wellness through the transformative practice of yoga.
At Yoga Pod, we commit to breathe first and act second.
We cultivate discipline through the rigor, heat, and focus of our practice.
Through infectious, positive attitude and culture, we create community and build an impactful tribe.
We strive to live in harmony with nature and our open, compassionate hearts guide us to do the right thing.

Meet the Leadership Team:
Nicole & Gerry Wienholt—
Studio Owners
This husband & wife team are co-owners of Yoga Pod Boulder and Yoga Pod Longmont. They share their love of yoga with the wonderful abundance of students, teachers, and residents of this vibrant and beautiful community they call home.
Nicole & Gerry agree that because of their regular yoga and meditation practice, along with the strength from their unconditional love for each other, they stay more grounded and focused by living a life through conscious breath and intentional movement.
They have dedicated their personal and professional lives to encourage others to use the power of yoga as a catalyst for inspiration and change. This compelled them to expand into three locations in Boulder County, bringing the transformational power of yoga to more and more people.
Both are 200-Hour certified teachers and teach uplifting, fun classes, and look forward to sharing the vibrant Yoga Pod space with you!
Elizabeth Amann Whitney—
Studio Director
Elizabeth has been part of the Yoga Pod community since 2015—starting as a Karma Yogi and working her way through (literally) every role to now serve as Studio Director. She supports the three studios by leading operations, marketing, programs, and helping the team thrive behind the scenes.
As a teacher, Elizabeth’s classes aim to empower students—whether through uplifting, alignment-based yoga or strength-focused fitness that builds resilience and confidence. She has been teaching since 2018 and holds certifications in podHOT, podFIT, and Yin, in addition to her 200-hour certification. Her background also includes a degree in anatomy and physiology, professional dance, and snowboard instruction.
Outside the studio, Elizabeth is usually out adventuring with her husband Jeff, their baby Sonny, and their two pups—soaking up all that Colorado life has to offer!
Jan Patterson—
Studio Director
Jan has been a part of the Yoga Pod community since 2018. She first started as a Yoga Pod student, which evolved into a Studio Manager role and eventually her current position as Studio Director. Jan’s role is unique in that she remotely supports the three studios and works alongside Elizabeth from her home base in Fort Worth, Texas—so if you don’t see her often, that’s why!
Jan is a certified yoga teacher, leading vinyasa-based yoga classes in Fort Worth.
Her ability to support the studios and studio managers remotely is a testament to Gerry and Nicole’s vision for growing and nurturing the Yoga Pod community.
Stacie Hawkins—
Studio Manager, 30th Street
Stacie moved to Colorado in August of 2024 from Austin, Texas, where she managed one of the Yoga Pod franchise studios for five years. She brings many years of management experience outside of Yoga Pod, as well as a BFA in Art Education from the University of Texas at Austin.
Stacie has been teaching yoga since 2007 and also has a background in kinesiology and sports medicine, which deeply influences her teaching style—emphasizing functional movement, myofascial release, and making yoga accessible for all bodies. Her classes are rooted in a diverse yoga lineage that includes Anusara, Ashtanga, SmartFLOW, Forrest Yoga, Iyengar, and Bowspring. Students can expect her classes to be equal parts challenging and playful, infused with lighthearted energy—and plenty of dad jokes.
When she’s not teaching or taking classes, Stacie loves exploring the outdoors and soaking in the beauty of nature with her husband and friends. Indoors, she enjoys painting, experimenting in the kitchen, snuggling her dog Summer, diving into comic books, and geeking out on science-based podcasts.
Ashleigh Saponare—
Studio Manager, South Boulder
Ashleigh brings years of experience as both a teacher and student. She finds great joy in connecting with students and their stories, collaborating with talented teachers, and helping foster the intentional, meaningful community that thrives within the studio. She is grateful for the opportunity to grow as a leader under Yoga Pod founders Gerry and Nicole Wienholt and the leadership team.
Ashleigh’s background includes a Connecticut state teaching licensure in English, grades 7–12, and a 200-hour Anusara-based yoga certification completed in 2013. Since then, she has taught asana, breathwork, and meditation in yoga studios, one-on-one sessions, and private therapeutic day schools. Her additional training includes workshops at Kripalu in yoga therapy and writing, lectures with esteemed teachers of yoga philosophy and classical Hindu texts and Sanskrit, Reiki, and the practice of shamanism.
Committed to her own growth as a student of life and yoga, Ashleigh enjoys dancing, writing, hiking, spiritual studies, and traveling with her husband, Joe, to explore the beauty of nature both in the U.S. and abroad.
Tammy Black—
Studio Manager, Longmont
For over three decades, Tammy Black has been on a profound and evolving path of teaching meditation, yoga, and breathwork. Along the way, she has had the privilege of learning from masterful teachers across the globe, each leaving an indelible mark on her heart and practice. This journey has shaped not only her approach to teaching but also the way she lives and breathes.
Through mindful movement, breath, and meditation, Tammy guides students to meet life’s challenges with grace and understanding, finding strength in stillness. In a world filled with noise and distraction, her classes offer a sacred space to reconnect with body, mind, and spirit.
