  • This seminar offers an inspiring and insightful talk by Max based on the ideas of his prescient book, “There is No App for Happiness”, followed by essential internal technologies for transformation. Max will ask a series of questions, then you will be asked to write down the answers, and these answers will illuminate your inner life. This work, simple in its nature, astonishes those who take the class. The insight you will gain cannot be purchased or found within a book or university. This seminar may help you to see life differently, and even course-correct your trajectory. This is not a movement class. Be sure to have writing materials on hand.

  • How does the way we breathe affect our stress level, anxiety, quality of sleep, and even our relationships? Breath penetrates, breath invigorates, and breath heals. The effect of Max’s breathing techniques is a profound sense of calm, mental clarity and a release of physical and emotional tension.

Max has been teaching breathwork to tens of thousands of people around the world for 30 years, and this has given him a unique skillset and perspective on the intimate relationship between our breath and our emotions. It is the quintessential tool to begin the healing of anxiety, panic attacks, and grief. This is why the breathing techniques that he teaches are now being used by therapists and psychologists in their sessions.

These exercises are accessible to everyone and do not require hours of challenging breathwork to have the desired effect. Class will include a lecture, simple but high impact breathing exercises, and guided meditation.

    Topics included in this workshop:

    • Breathing patterns to help with anxiety, sleep issues, and depression.

    • When to breathe through the mouth and when to breathe through the nose.

    • When to expand the chest and when to expand the abdomen.

  • It is said that the human being has a powerful guiding voice within; it is the voice of our intuition and wisdom.  But this voice is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind.  The noise is often caused from chaotic or congested emotions from stress, depression, PTS, or anxiety.  In this workshop we will begin with a talk by Max, then move into a gentle breath-initiated movement sequence.  The second half of the workshop will focus on floor postures and breath-work to release the mind and body from long-held emotions that impede our happiness and our ability to sleep well. Bring your mat and writing materials.

  • Testimonials:

    "Genuinely life-changing."

    "Turning point in my life."

    "Major breakthrough."

"Highly valued catalyst in my therapy process."

Just a few of numerous comments of people who have experienced a session of powerful breathwork with Max Strom. There’s a time for theory, and there’s a time to let our breath work for us and go beyond what we can rationally grasp to release our congested emotions from stress, depression, anxiety, or PTS. Emotions affect our breathing, for example: crying and laughing. But did you know that changing the pattern of our breathing influences our emotions? An innovative method, simple techniques, and incredible results. The practices you will learn in this workshop take you to a calm and inspired state with new depths of insight. This workshop will include lecture, standing and seated breathing exercises. Bring writing materials. (not advised if you are pregnant)

  • This evening workshop deals directly with the modern plague of sleeplessness and stress.  In America, the Center for Disease Control has declared sleep disorder an epidemic, and this is happening in industrial cities across the world. This workshop will help you re-think your priorities and gives you knowledge to take home with you to help you sleep and live more at ease. This workshop begins with a lecture, and then moves into a gentle restorative sequence of postures and gentle movement that immediately trigger deep relaxation. Simple, powerful, accessible. Bring writing materials.

“When so much seems to be out of our control, our breath is the one thing that we can rely on. It will never fail us, it will always make us calmer and when we are calm it changes how we perceive the world and how we react to it.”
