“ Experiencing my 200hour YTT with Yoga Pod was one of the best decisions

I have ever made.”

The main and guest teachers were incredibly knowledgeable, highly encouraging, and deeply passionate about yoga and teaching. The material was exciting and supportive for my learning and development as a student and teacher. Best of all, I felt deeply cared for and connected to the community of my YTT family both during the training and as I began and continue teaching for Yoga Pod. My training with Yoga Pod was the foundation of my professional and personal growth on and off the mat.

Amy has led over 25 yoga teacher trainings, including one for the staff of Yoga Journal Magazine. Amy is thrilled to be back home in Boulder and teaching at Yoga Pod after 4 years in the mountains.

Her yoga classes are vibrant and range from quick moving and fluid to deep study of anatomical perception.

Lisa Fierer

  • Through the synergy of groove and grace, Lisa leads those seeking a doorway to the heart by blending movement, sound, stillness and strength.

Drawing inspiration from a rich tapestry of teachers, Lisa guides a soulful path through the power of Yoga. Trained by Matthew Sanford (pioneer of Adaptive Yoga), Manorama, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Jack Kornfield, Paul Grilley and others, Lisa embodies the belief that being a lifelong student feeds the soil for teaching. With over 1000 hours of trainings accrued over 20+ years; Lisa is certified in teaching Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin and Restorative yoga, Hot yoga, yoga fitness, Earthways, and Sanskrit. Her background in bodybuilding formed the architecture for Lisa to excel in yoga and SUP fitness. She has been a Master Paddleboard and SUP Yoga and Fitness Instructor since 2011.

Elizabeth Amann Whitney

  • Elizabeth’s mission is to help others tap into their inner potential and wisdom so they can lead satisfying, wholehearted lives. In teacher training, she empowers students to step into their fullest selves, pursue their passions, find their unique voice and confidence, and gain the skills to share that with others. She views yoga asana, breathwork, and thoughtful inquiry as powerful tools for deepening our understanding of the forces that shape the human experience—on and off the mat.

Elizabeth curates a learning environment that is supportive, curious, engaging, and grounded in practical application. She emphasizes clear alignment, intelligent sequencing, and hands-on adjustments, while also encouraging each trainee to develop their own authentic teaching voice.

Elizabeth holds her 200-hour certification, along with certifications in podHOT, podFIT, Breathwork Facilitation, and Yin Yoga. She has been a regular teacher at Yoga Pod since 2018. Her background also includes a bachelor’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology, professional dance, and snowboard instruction.

Elizabeth wears many hats—Studio Director, yoga teacher, wife, mom, and avid yoga student. She was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to Boulder at the first chance she got. When she isn’t at the studio, Elizabeth enjoys weight lifting, listening to live music, cooking, and traveling with her husband, son, and two dogs. She is passionate about supporting future teachers in building confidence, skill, and a deep sense of connection to both the practice and the community they serve.
