Keri Wenzel
Keri began her yoga journey through the seat of meditation, dhyana. Slowing down, tuning out,
and dropping in came natural for her at a very young age. This paved the way for a strong
connection to the outdoors, learning to trust intuitive energy, and living from the heart. Her
athletic nature gave her the notion that energy also needed movement, and her home asana
practice began in 2006. Ashtanga and Bikram soon became her first yoga loves for their
structure, discipline, and focus on physical alignment. After just two public vinyasa classes, she
knew teacher training was her path.
Keri is an E-RYT 500 hour yoga teacher. She received her certifications at Yogaview Chicago
and has been teaching since 2011. She has taken numerous trainings in addition to these hours
that complement her teaching style and feed her ever curious brain/body/spirit. Some include
Prenatal Yoga, Self Myofascial Release, Rocket Yoga, & Level 2 Reiki. In her classes, you can
absolutely expect her calm and nurturing nature to shine, but with an encouraging presence of
self-discipline, just as she learned asana. No matter what style she is teaching, her classes
focus on proper alignment, inclusion through the use of props and modifications, and the belief
that there is something to be found in yoga for anyone, anywhere. When not on her mat, you
may find her playing with her 3 boys, barefoot in the garden, hiking/skiing on a mountain, or
sitting with a yoga philosophy or anatomy book.
