Eliza Volk

Hi, I’m Eliza, a healer and bodyworker with over 15 years of experience in guiding people back to themselves through movement, breath, and deep bodywork. My work blends ancient wisdom with modern somatic practices, creating space for transformation on all levels—physical, emotional, and energetic.

My journey began growing up on a small farm just north of New York City, where I developed a deep reverence for nature and a curiosity about the connection between our bodies, our emotions, and the world around us. This curiosity led me to study psychology and environmental studies at the University of Vermont, and later, to immerse myself in healing traditions across the globe. From sacred fire ceremonies to ThaiVedic bodywork, I spent years learning from elders, healers, and yogis who shaped my understanding of transformation and embodiment.

I began my formal study of yoga in Anusara, an alignment-based and heart-centered practice, completing my 200-hour training in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Soon after, I found ThaiVedic, a school integrating yoga, Ayurveda, and bodywork, where I trained extensively and later became a teacher. I have participated in multiple ThaiVedic 200-hour Yoga Therapy Trainings in Thailand and Bali, both as a student and assistant, and later helped bring this work to my previous home of Asheville, NC.

In addition to yoga, I specialize in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a nervous system healing modality that helps release unprocessed emotions and trauma stored in the body. I often weave SE into my bodywork, creating sessions that not only relieve tension but also help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, process life experiences, and expand their capacity for joy, ease, and vitality.

My classes and sessions are a reflection of my personality—grounded, intuitive, and infused with deep presence. Whether I’m guiding students through a physically challenging, spirit-lifting yoga practice or holding space for deep nervous system healing, my goal is always the same: to meet you where you are and support you in stepping into the next version of yourself.

When I’m not teaching or working with clients, you can find me snowboarding, soaking in hot springs, or sipping my way through Colorado’s cafés—always seeking new ways to stay inspired and connected.

I’m honored to be working at YogaPod and I bring my years of experience in bodywork, somatic healing, and global wisdom traditions into a practice that is both deeply transformational and accessible to all.

Let’s move, breathe, and grow together.
