Paul Perry
Paul began his yoga journey a bit accidentally in 1999, as a way to relieve the growing tension in his aching muscles. At the advice of a friend, this ‘stretching’ this was just supplemental, physical, and temporary. Relying on intuition and experimentation rather than any others’ instruction or classical texts, his home practice soon became more consistent, and surprisingly rewarding. In 2004 he stepped into a Bikram studio and after spending 20 hot, uncomfortable minutes in class, decided everyone in the room was insane, left the class with no plans on coming back. Still, a week later he inexplicably found himself back at the studio and soon began a regular practice. After recognizing glimpses of the transcendence of a committed practice, he decided to share the passion and begin teaching Yoga in 2008. He is committed to practicing and teaching a variety of styles including: Hot, HVF, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. Paul teaches with particular attention drawn to the BREATH, exploring presence, and encourages his students to be open to and receive exactly what they need from each and every practice.
